SUMMARY:Drop off pots\, signs & blinds
DESCRIPTION:We will be out at the barn on Saturday\, June 1st starting at 9:00am. We will be leaving at Noon – please do not drop off items after we are gone! \nThe plan is to be available for members to drop off pots they want to donate. We will use the time while we are there to organize/sort the pots that we have there and the ones that are dropped off so everything is ready for next year. \nWe are in need of 1 gallon pots. 4” & 6″ pots that we use for small plants and vegetables are also needed. Trays for both are also great. Ideally\, we prefer pots that don’t have names/advertising printed on them\, but we will take those. It would help\, if you have the chance\, to use a large sharpie to cross out whatever is printed.  \nVolunteers who would be able to work with us that morning and organize the pots at the barn would be deeply appreciated. \nWe don’t need the 4-pack/6-pack/8-pack type pots. We already have a good supply of larger pots for shrubs. \nIf you donate pots you will earn garden bucks to be used at our garden club auction at our November meeting. If you stay and help us organize the pots\, you will also earn garden bucks. \nThis is also a good time to bring plant sale signs for storage for next year. If you ended up with any pricing sticks from pots when we were clearing out the tent at the end of the sale you can bring those too.  We are also in need of old window blinds that we can cut up for labeling the plants\, so if you have any around\, please bring them.  Older blinds or “blackout” blinds are best since they have thicker plastic than new “light filtering” blinds. \n“The Barn” belongs to the West Chicago Park District and they kindly allow us to store our plant sale items there. It is located at 30W150 Wilson Street\, West Chicago\, IL 60185 at the Kress Creek Park. The park entrance is at Joliet St and Wilson Rd.
